Over the past year though I've realized that it's possible to get so focused on future planning - 10, 15, or even 30 years down the road - that we lose focus on today.
The older I get the more I realize that life goes by quickly - which makes each day an important opportunity. Every day there are opportunities to spend time with loved ones, encourage others, enjoy the sun. These are the little things that we can miss out on in our desire to plan ahead for the future.
Of course I think it's important to plan your finances in such a way that you are able to accomplish your future financial goals - that's what we do here. But, I also want to encourage you to make the most of every day.
